    Hey guys,

Finally got around to putting some information together on the boat and trailer I bought about a year and a half ago. I modified the trailer to tow behind our cruiser (or have a mate tow it) through some rough areas, with a Steep point trip last year being the main drive.

It's proved to work very well, and we mainly launch it from the beach. We've used proper concrete boat ramps about 4 times so far!

The full post is on my blog - Building a tough 4WD boat trailer, but here are some pics for those who don't want all the detail

Interesting mudguards mate, conveyor belt ?
Whats the reason for having them so low at the front ?

Looks good behind the 80 i must say.

Cheers. Yeah, conveyor belt. Couldn't find anything that was big enough to cover the tyres, so made my own. They aren't actually that low - probably around 300mm. That photo was taken when the drawbar was sitting on the dirt. I wasn't actually sure how low it would hang when I made it, depending on vehicle height etc. I will probably raise them a little more
